Setup guide

Five steps from sign-up to an assistant answering your customers. No developer, no migration, no plugin.

01 Add your shop

Create an account (14 days free on Starter, no card) and add your shop: its name and website address.

02 Verify your domain

Vendigit only runs on websites you own. The dashboard shows a TXT record: open the DNS settings where your domain is registered and create a record with these values.

Type: TXT
Value: vendigit-verify=… (copy it whole from your dashboard)

DNS changes can take up to an hour, and Vendigit keeps checking on its own. Once the domain is verified, it collects your delivery, payment, returns, FAQ, about, contacts and terms pages, so it can answer policy questions.

03 Add the widget or Telegram

Website widget. Copy the snippet from the dashboard and paste it before </body> on your site, so it loads on every page. It looks like this:

<script src="…/widget.js" async></script>
<vendigit-widget api-key="your-key"></vendigit-widget>

Colour, position, assistant name and greeting change from the dashboard without pasting the snippet again. The widget works only on your verified domain and its www version.

Telegram bot (Growth and above). Open @BotFather, send /newbot and choose a name and username for your shop. Paste the token BotFather sends, or its whole message, into the dashboard. Each shop needs its own bot.

04 Add your product feed

Paste the feed link or upload the file, up to 128 MB. A link must be on your verified domain. Supported formats:

  • XML, including YML (Prom.ua, Horoshop) and Google Merchant / RSS.
  • CSV or TSV, including Shopify and WooCommerce product exports.
  • JSON.

An AI model maps your feed's columns (name, price, stock, category and the rest), so you do not have to rename anything. A feed added by link re-syncs every 6 hours. New to feeds? Read what a YML product feed is.

05 Go live

Go live unlocks when three things are done: the domain is verified, a channel is connected and a feed is added. Switch it on and the assistant starts answering.

Then choose who on your team gets an email when a dialog is handed to a person, and ask a few questions yourself, the way a customer would.

If something does not work

The domain is still not verified

DNS changes can take up to an hour. Check that the record type is TXT and that the value is copied whole, without extra spaces or quotes. Vendigit keeps checking on its own.

The feed link is rejected

A feed link must be on your verified domain. If your platform hosts the feed somewhere else, download the file and upload it instead.

Some products are missing

Each plan indexes up to its product limit per shop; see pricing. Also check the feed for rows with no price or no link: common feed errors.

The widget does not appear

Make sure the snippet is before </body>, the page is on your verified domain or its www version, and the widget is enabled in the dashboard.

Telegram says the bot is connected to another shop

Each bot answers for one shop. Create a separate bot for this shop in @BotFather.
